Christening!

The Puna Reo was christened by drunken neighbours this morning – young people living over the road had tagged their rental house, then a lamp-post and road sign and moved on to help us paint the new fences designed by local artist Simon Lardelli.

With everything ready for a dawn karakia and opening next week this unfortunate act reminds us just why we are in this neighbourhood and why tamariki need to know who they really are and have the potential to become. God bless all the drunken  taggers!

Artist Simon Lardelli grew up in Cambridge Tce and volunteered his skills and time to creat the beautiful fence design.
